Hello - My name is Marlo. I design auction templates and websites and sell my designing services and products at www.marlodee.com. I also have a cafepress store and a zazzle store to show some of my creations.
I live in Columbus, OH with my wonderful husband and three very soft and furry cats. I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and was diagnosed in 2002. My disease is very aggressive and has crippled me already.
Before I designed I was an Accountant. But when I was diagnosed, I quickly found out that I couldn't work the standard 9 to 5 job anymore and so I had to reinvent myself. I had to leave my job and career in which I did enjoy. But after puttering around on the internet and selling on Eby auctions, I started to become interested in designing auction templates. Then it quickly grew to designing websites. So, I picked up books on coding and self taught myself through the years of how to code a website and auction template. Then I started to offer my services and templates to the public. I then found that people liked my designs. So a new career for me was born.
Even though I miss my old job, with this new career I am finding a love for it that replaces the longing for accounting. And I am meeting a lot of wonderful people via the internet.
